A B O U T
I was born and raised in Cd. Juarez, Mexico. At the age of 12 I moved to the U.S., a couple of years later I was introduced to my first musical instrument , the drums. As the years passed I picked up more instruments, such as the violin, guitar, harmonica and piano. I joined the mariachi program in High School and that's where most of my music training happened. After High School I continued playing mariachi in a professional level. In 2012 I joined the CMI (Creative Media Institute) program at New Mexico State University, where I was pursuing a degree in Digital Filmmaking. During my time in CMI I got to learn so much about the art of story telling and all the aspects of filmmaking, such as sound, editing, writing, acting, storyboarding, cinematography, producing and directing. I also got to score some short films for my fellow students as well as some of mine. I directed a couple of short films including my Senior Thesis Film "THOMAS". In December of 2016 I graduated with a Bachelors in Digital Filmmaking and I am currently pursuing a living directing and scoring films.

ARTISTIC STATEMENT
Us filmmakers have a great power over people, the power of influencing and inspiring people. I believe that with great power comes great responsibility, and it is our responsibility to send a good message to society and try to make this world a better place through our art.
Everybody has a story to tell, but not everybody has the voice to tell it. As a director I feel that my job is to be there to tell that story, using sound, visual design and music. Music is a very essential part of my films because I feel that music is a very effective way to manipulate people's emotions and it makes the scene more memorable.
My main focus as a storyteller is to move people and take them on a journey along with my characters. My passion is to inspire people just like other people have inspired me through their stories.
